20-25# sunline sniper for me. Unless it's thick grass that warrants braid. The smaller diameter of the sniper helps make it more manageable than other comparable lines. That's the biggest advantage...
"Tried" it a few times. Sounded better in theory than in practice from what I observed. It was one of those things I had envisioned in my head before the trip and once I got there and tried it it was...
Agreed, Danny at Marine Works will hook you up. If not available Anglers Outpost is a solid choice as well.
Other than renting an AirBNB/cabin, the decent hotels in central city (best western or super 8) would be your next closest options.
I don't think it matters one bit to a bass, to a crappie maybe.
I'd also suggest somewhere else, anywhere else really, but it will be pretty tough in general at most places in August. If you come to KY though I'd think shallow by then.
As far as I know The Cabin at Kuttawa is back open and one of my favorites in the area. Hi-tech outdoors at Benton if you are a little further south.
No more inflatables for me after some of the recent events with inflatables not going off. I had an onyx and it also liked to inflate when left in high heat or moist conditions like rod locker, back...
The hot foot is an added safety measure for me, not just for comfort. Having both hands free to drive means a lot sometimes. I can't honestly imagine having a bass boat without one, but to each his...
4, beyond the shadow of a doubt
1.5" ready lift billet spacer on my 2011 F250. Bilstein 5100's. Ride is nearly as good as it was stock.
Trim relays I would guess.
I thought the sunline was going to be a game changer, negative. Most of the time I just fish with the same sniper I use during the day, but on a wild hair I will spool up some Pline CXX copoly in...
I've got one of those you setup! Yellow/black with Verado. Supposedly was Triton's calendar/show boat for '05? Previous owner gave me a pretty large framed picture of the boat in the catalog.
Full Moon Moon-lite
Just use the full moon with the 12v plug in adapter. Plug it in right below the key on my boat and run the cord around the console. Suction cup the light on the gunnel and good to go.
Same boat & motor combo here. Running a 25p fury that could stand being replaced. When I first bought the boat I took it out to learn to drive it (came from a skeeter with 200). By myself, no tackle,...
Check ebay, I bought a couple new ones cheap on there
The verado's also have like 4" of setback built into them. So a 6" plate will put you around 10" total.
The last set of AGM's I had (cabelas brand) lasted 8+ years. Running duracells now and very pleased.
Pushing 800 hours on mine now and not a single major issue yet (knock on wood). The power steering will spoil you. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.
AGM are well worth the money, as long as you keep them properly charged they'll last forever.
It's the way it appears to the general public that is of concern, not the actual logistics. Sure those directors and participants may follow the guidelines to a T, but it's obvious to even the...
That's with any used bass boat. Rub rail screws will back out over time if you run in rough water, or are known to come into docks a little hot. Should be a part of standard preventative maintenance.
