Agree with others, the bounce buster must be interfering with the latch closure. Improper install. My Force has never had an issue at all.
This looks awesome, will follow updates on here if you post them.
I recommend whatever Lowrance HDS Model (Gen3/Carbon/Live) and size (9/10/12/15) suits your fancy and budget. They all operate about the same, have the same mapping and tracking features. My setup is...
This is a deal breaker for me, and Hummingbird is not a solution. Lowrance is the only one with good track management.
My rear compartment latch gave up on me in rough water once, the dealer replaced it no questions asked. Only other issue is needing to occasionally re-tighten the big plastic nut that holds them snug.
I haven't had an issue with mine. I like the switch layout and the simplicity. If a switch breaks it ain't nothing to make an on the water repair.
I have the fish obsessed 0 degree and it is a big improvement over the 8* standard mount.
The force does not have a steering delay with the foot pedal. I have used one for two seasons, and my fishing partner is switching his ultrex to a garmin for this season.
I don't believe there is a way to calibrate the standard gauge non-linearly, but maybe vessel view can do that. Because the tank is v shaped and the level sensor is linear, the gauge would have to...
Water can get in there and its got openings to the bilge so water from the bilge can splash. Keeping that compartment water tight is a fools errand. Weather stripping or something would be nice but...
I got a pretty early 2021 model and am really happy. I had some gel coat quality issues on the center console which is being taken care of by the dealer, looks like a UV protectant or something...
Sounds like chine walk that is getting out of hand. Raise the jackplate as happykamper said above. Load the boat as it will be used if it is not already. The plan above is good, but I suspect it is...
There was a breaker on the starboard side of my boat tucked all the way against the sidewall behind the batteries. I can't remember what it was for, but it did have a reset button. I don't recall...
A fancy one that is easy to disconnect at one end would be ideal for this. Best of both worlds.
This is primarily for on the water access, the gas shock would limit how far you can open the hatch.
I have one of those fancy prop nuts, and like it a lot. It is primarily for tool-less removal of the prop, but some say it makes them quieter too. I'm less convinced of that. Probably not worth 60$...
Nice idea on the light and net holders. I use a sliding ego net and basically do the same thing with the net. I installed a temporary velcro strap for the net handle end a year and half ago and keep...
The sliding seats are nice, although the mechanism is a little wonky (same as I've seen on other brands). my dad is 6'6" and I'm 6'2" and we each selected the caymas over some other brands because of...
This seems way too slow unless prop to pad height is wrong or you're not getting enough trim for some reason. RPMs aren't far off from what I see but that is significantly slower than i'd expect. 4-6...
Awesome and thanks for the update. I tried a 25 tempest and it was too much prop.
I did not know this, thanks! I zip tied my button so I couldn't press it but this is much better.
I've liked where I put it. The rod boxes are shallow at the front so its mounted vertically with the bottom basically touching the bottom of the rod locker and the cables attach on top. Slight pain...
I put mine in the starboard rod locker towards the bow but still accessible.
I've hit mine with my knee before, the lower location should prevent that.
