I've always built the IM SWB 8 foot blanks, usually the 805. Never tried one of the SW Deltas, will be curious to find out what you think of them.

You have to have extra longer pieces of blank to do it this way but the way I prefer to do it is to cut the blank flush with the rear of the grip and then add that the way Bassbme described. This way...
It also helps to have 2 people, one pulling and one to pull back a little when it gets stuck...it'll probably get stuck a few times.
I know this is a big bass tournament but they might be willing to write 2 checks then both of you get a 1099, that's what they do for the team circuit I fish.
Did the same for my tin boat. Works great and saved some money. I think the cradles were only like $70
I had a problem where I was out on the water and one battery went completely dead, the other two were at like 80%. Contacted Andy, hooked it up to the charger at the hotel and it took a full charge...
My one two punch like that is a 1/8 oz swim jig and a white frog. I'll throw black if they're not hitting white but mostly throwing white.
I'd think Green Pumpkin/black, Watermelon candy and orange/black would come pretty close. I'd do 20 strands of the first 2 and 10 of orange.
you have to make sure you're sharing location.
I think he might be talking about a soft jerkbait like a Fluke. For that, yes...swivel then about a foot of line and then the hook.
I've built a few with the soft touch grips, both split and full. They feel fine but it's subjective, some people may love them. John, I don't think the soft touch are any more sensitive than cork.
...
I use both and sometimes a mix of both. I tie a similar skirt on ned heads to give them some bulk and sink slower also
My buddy has a place on Two Sisters, good lake, been out on it a few times and did well. He's told me that Hodstradt Lake is a sleeper up there (I've never been though). Tomahawk is a good one for...
I was a Shimano guy for 20 years but switched last year to Zillion G's...couldn't be happier I'd go with the 7.1:1
I make my own as well using a Gammy 26R jighead. I'm going to try a few others this year in tungsten, Reins makes one. Deps came out with a new lead one also.
They work.
You can do the same...
Just a different layout, same hull. Same deal with the previous version Classic and P2.
If you're talking about the one with the gold blank/EVA that was from '08 or '09 I think or at least that's the flippin stick. Closest blank to that flippin stick would be the Liberty 804.
The...
I would leave it alone. Just make sure you get off all of the old thread finish. Fish won't know the difference. I've re-guided a lot of old rods and the couple of times I tried to make the blank...
Yep it'll be fine.
You mean FL904 right? Pretty sure there's not a 3 power. I've build a lot of them and have 2 personal rods. Great frog rod and does a lot well, bladed jig, jig, it'll even throw a 6" Magdraft.
I got my grandson one of the under spincast reels. Pretty sure it's a Zebco. Figured it'd be an easier transition to a regular spinning reel. He's 5 btw.
IMO the best frog blank is a Hydra Ng FL4. For NFC I'd recommend an IM MB807 (don't go HM or Xray on a frog rod). I like Point Blank blanks but there isn't one I'd recommend for frogging. I have a...
I thought they were just the regular Neo blanks with the top 3rd having color added. I ordered up a few myself.
Here's a tip to debone them in just a couple of minutes. Put the chicken in a big ziplock bag when it's still warm and then "massage" it. It'll all come apart. Just dump it on a big platter and pick...
Have you tried just using IPA to clean up epoxy? That's what I've been using since I started. My shop isn't really well ventilated and acetone is nasty.
