Who's Brian, and who's a good person to have prop work done with?
Will do. Probably have it by Friday or Saturday and run it Saturday.
Ok thanks. Im swapping out the 25 Fury for a 24 Fury and gonna come up with the engine a bit. The 24 is the smallest they make, I thought they made a 23 but the dealer said they don't. If it is still...
Why wouldn't I be able to turn the 23? I'm at 52/5300 RPM now with a 25 Fury. If I go down to a 23 I should gain 5-600 RPM. Plus I think I can come up a bit more on the engine height.
Update: A friend suggested I measure the PTP and it was way low. 6.5 inches below pad. I brought it up to 3 inches below the pad and ran it. Chine walking almost completely gone, 5200 RPM 67 mph....
Ok here's some numbers. 25 Fury, 4600 RPM 57 MPH. The problem is its chine walking. I can't trim up very much at all before I have to slow down due to the chine walking. If it weren't for that I feel...
That's about what I was thinking. I'm trying a 25 Fury today. Should get me close. I have a 10in jackplate plus my boat is an 18 vs. a 19. What's your speeds looking like with the 23?
No way a 21 is gonna even come close! I was turning a 21 with my 115. 60 more HP and minimal weight increase, I'm thinking a 24 Fury is where I need to be. There's a guy on here running a 23 on a x19...
Just re-powered my H18 with a 175 SHO, looking for prop recommendations. I took a 115 yamaha 4s off. It ran 51-52 with just me with a 21 Turbo prop @ 5600. Thx for any help.
