Ha e a new 1880 with Merc 115.
Have a manual jack plate.
Problem is I am not sure if motor is sitting to high..
When I try to get on plane, boat starts cavitating.. Motor trimmed all the way...

Not sure the size plugs, but they are not solid... Looks to be about 1/2 hole in them.
Open throttle was 51mph with 5200 rpm
Didn't know if it was to much prop or Manuel jack plate adjustment...
Took it out for the first time... Boat handles and rides great... Have a jackplate with 2 power poles and 24 tempest prop, and my only complaint is the holes hot is horrible.. And I had empty...
I'm thinking that 24 pitch on mine may be to much... If you are turning 5700 with a 23

I looked on vexus website, but Pedastals are 180.00 for 2 of them..
Trying to see if anyone has found any other than from vexus... Having problems finding some with that type of insert on the...

The ones that come on the AVX 1880 have a plastic clip on the bottom with one Groove cut in them...
