Good idea
Yes he is communicating.
The place close to home said they need a referral from his place now, but we requested that a month ago and heard nothing since.
I need POA? I think I’m only a main contact.
ya I don’t think the close to home home is as nice as his now, but we could visit much more frequently
So my 60yr old brother is in a home for a stroke a year ago.
it’s being paid for by SSI
My question is, can I have him moved to another home? His current one is a nice place, but it’s an hour...

So i'm headed to "The Grounds" in June from Pittsburgh for the Kid Rock concert but have never been there before.
does anyone have any tips on what it's like at the Grounds for a concert, and some...

Just got back today
Incredible scenery. Even multiple rainbows every day. Wouldn’t have been surprised to see a unicorn.
Weather was super windy with some rain but it really didn’t hinder what...
So our Fall trip was postponed, but we’re finally going in 4 days.
Thanks again for the good info

Ever try Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?
What have you?
In my case i'm beyond the need for financial help as my mom died. And, actually, it never was needed. The choices the doctors and nurses made were in line with ours.
A simple barbell setup with dumbells is really all you need. Throw in a simple adjustable bench.
A 100lb weight vest could also work....just remove/add weights as needed.
In my mom's case there was never really a situation where we needed the medical POA
What could have helped was more moral support from family, but there's only a handful of us left....one brother...
You guys really think so? I feel like as her son I should have did what she wanted, it was my duty.
She was the first one in the family to die in a nursing home. It was a no-no in the family, but...
So much as happened since I started this thread.
My brother that was living with her had a stroke on July 5th, so we had to have her put in a home again. He ended up in a separate home himself...
