My 379 will always settle back a few inches so I have just started pulling up to bow roller and winching the the spring loaded roller up to the stop.

I have a 1994 379 DC with 120 Johnson. Had it for several years and very happy with performance. I wish mine had a 150 but if it is in good condition you should be happy with it.

My Javelin 379 with 120 Johnson pulls really hard to the right. Once it is on plane the pull is less. Once you have it trimed up it goes away and steers easily.
