I had this problem too. Mine is linked to my Lowrance. Dont know the right fix but if I hit the M on my hand controler it shuts off otherwise it keeps trying to anchor.

I had the same problem because of the 60" shaft so although I use the coils.... keep it to the side and attach it on the rail of the boat instead of wrapping it around the shaft. Works great.

yes TMG. they were very pleasant to deal with. The problem really was the repair center. But they were pleasant too. Just messed up....but we all make mistakes.
