Yes and I'm not sure. The CT is newer over the standard lower unit on these 115s. Sure improves the prop options.

I was in the same boat (pun intended) as you. My boat was in great condition, I love the boat, had all the added bells and whistles I wanted so I saw no need to buy a new boat.

I own a 2000 R71 with a Merc 125 and Max HP rating of 130. The Z175 of today is very similar in size and weight to the R71, with the R71 a bit smaller but the Z175 is only max rated for 115HP. Wonder...

Thanks for the input guys. I guess I'm now between the Evinrude e tec 130 (2 stroke) which means changing out cables, controls & tac and Merc Pro XS 115 (4 stroke) same controls. Any input on these?
