Thats exactly what I said.. Ark rods is Louie Zhang
Just heard that Midwest rod, which is the old Falcon plant and makers of the Virtus and made in the U.S. BPS rods has been sold to GSM outdoors.
They own Phenix . Will be interesting to see what...
I will third the swim jig rod.
I came across a Quantum Tour edition crankbait rod. Its marked hand crafted in America and TCF 706 MC. Its glass with a full cork,
Black with marron wraps.
Anyone know if it's a seeker blank? or...
Just go with the neoprene. I use Buzbe absolutely no issues. For the few mesh I have left a just cut them so they can't reach the bait.
Not 100% sure but I've heard the Spro rods are being made by Virtus right here in the Ozarks. If Mike were to make a change it would make sense for both he and Christy to go with Virtus or Spro since...
I'm a fan of the poison adrena. I can't imagine a knot that would hang on those guides.
There has been several refreshes. The Wiebe reel seat, the split grip, the green painted blanks that no one liked, and there may have been something between it and the current model.
I can’t...
I have one of the Houston made All Star Zell Rowland Top water rods. They are a charcoal colored blank with maroon wraps. Close to 30 years old now.
The newer ones after the Shakespeare buy out...
I've never had a ring fall out. Of course, that would be an issue from the guide manufacturer
.
The threads on the Cara reel seats have never been that bad,at least for me ,It's the amount they leave on the Expert that's just silly.
The Amistad is my favorite Falcon model. I've had them in the USA T7 as well as the offshore production and I actually like the newer model without the exposed threads better.
It's a bit too tight...
We call them stickbaits here in the Ozarks. The technique was invented here. I really like the Falcon weightless worm rod and the St.Croix 6ft10 MXF. But It's the indian not the arrow .
Who is Sam Sobi ? Usually with any of those " signature " series rods they just take an existing rod and shorten or lengthen it and call it whatever .
Of course, they usually add a few bucks for the...
I really like St. Croix as well as the NRX. You're going to be hard pressed to feel much improvement over a legend Elite. There is a point of diminishing return now more than ever..
I have a bunch...
Falcon Cara Amistad.
Just what part of a jackhammer needs to be broken in ?
I have no idea what you mean when you call that rod a broomstick, hell ,I can throw a Sammy on it.
Back in the day I used the 7883/843 and they are great but I wouldn't spend that kind of money on...
[QUOTE=Mahomee;13317835]I dont like the 873 at all, I use it for rattle traps and thats about it too soft for any bottom baits and heavy compared to 853 843 etc[/QUOTE
I'm surprised you would think...
I have T7 and the current model Caras.
The biggest difference the action. The 844 being the more moderate. I have the 873 in the Plus model and honestly. The more I fish it the less I like it. I know it's the internet darling of jig rods,...
Trailer hook ?
Falcons in general are pretty moderate actions. The head turner is a moderate fast. To say that it has no tip just isn't the case.
If your losing fish it isn't the rod.

The head turner makes a great spinnerbait and chatterbait rod.
I have the finesse jig and the Titan. I like them. I think the finesse jig rod fishes just a touch tighter than the Falcon Cara version that I also have.
I wouldn't say they any better than the...
