Cookshook, after further investigation, I do believe you nailed #3!

If you look close, the lip on 3 is beveled all the way around on the underside. Not sure if that helps. I haven't found a match to any Rebels yet.

Well if you have power going into the main switch but not out, then either the switch is bad or a wire connected to it is broke or corroded.

Pic 2 looks like it could be a set railroad tracks. Id be interested in knowing what the very bright object is. Possibly a RR rail? Drop a camera down there.
