If you need the hitch of the trailer to be one inch higher, why not use a ball mount that is one inch higher? Seems to be the best solution unless I am missing something.

Does not work on fire ants. You will need to get something specifically for fire ants. When we lived in the San Antonio area, the Ortho fire ant granules worked pretty good.
