I agree with the above, I am running mine on a Helix 9 and have to zoom in quite a bit. It works but its not the most efficient way, I would suggest a 10 as the smallest but a 12 is really ideal. ...

Check power to the hub and then try to isolate it by checking individual units/cables. It sounds like a power issue so I would start with that, be sure to check the fuse if you have one for it.
