We are in Orlando and are only about a week out right now. Got caught up a bit with some of the rain we had. XR4's are very basic and we have 90% of those motor parts in stock. Might be a drive...
No telling what you did to the lower without opening it and inspecting it. Could have just broke the tit off the shift mechanism (no big deal) Would be more valuable with a good lower unit on it...
Someone peeled the serial number off the motor! Normally NOT GOOD! Check the inside of the motor. You will have serial numbers sometimes on the head with a sticker but not sure the year they...
Did you check the fuse? Did you check the power in and out of the fuse. Do you have power (source) on the Black, Purple, Red? Just had a customer that had a fuse that looked good and would flash...
BTW I am doing this for personal benefit as well, as they are NOT making a 1:62 gear set at this time and I was trying to get my 3.0L sporty to work with my new 300R. I have a lot of customers as...
Don I have everything figured out EXCEPT the shift shaft problem! Do you know if it would be possible to change the new (v8) shift shaft with the older style splined shaft?
Yes Shef your lower unit will not work. I am working on trying to have a "kit" to change that!
Does ANYONE know if the v-8 lower unit has the same bolt pattern as the 3.0L opti's and verado's? I know it is a different spline than the opti's and possibly the same as the verado's but the shift...
Do you have the heads and what is the model number to make sure it will match up with what I need.
Do you still have the boat
What do you want for the old engine?
Solid alarm or beep pause beep pause beep pause? Could be low voltage alarm. Try using hydraulic jack plate (if you have one) trimming the motor up or down all at the same time see if it sets it...
He should have taken the fuel rails apart for cleaning after replacing the compressor if it failed. He probably forgot to lube the o-rings before putting them in and broke them. If you don't lube...
We Rebuilt a sporty recently that had the same gouge in the same spot. Looked like someone tried to take the pinion nut/pinion itself off without the proper tools. The bearing carrier o-ring...
I would try the Fuel pump as well seeing it is a cheap fix. If that doesn't fix it check the FUEL TANK PICKUP! That seems to be an ongoing problem and it gets overlooked a lot.
