LOL. AGREED
I agree the Avalanche was ahead of its time. Non-welded aluminum and higher HP ratings really made this boat very attractive. I've ridden in and fished out of a couple of them. Some porpoising...

I have 2 packs of each of these colors: smoke/blk/blue/gold (214) & smoke/rtbeer/grn/cop (236)
My buddy's 188 with the Command Thrust 115 also came with the 24 pitch. Seems about right, although we haven't had it wide open yet. I think the 21 pitch would be right for the regular gearcase -...
What kind of boat?
I need to do this soon. Almost time to replace the bunks.... Now, I just need a crane.
OP Update: I have towed a dozen times or so since I upgraded the trailer suspension including an 800 mile round trip up to Lake Champlain. I could not be happier with the result. The trailer sits...
How about steering clips for non-hydraulic steering? How can I stabilize a 115 Merc 4stroke with this product?
OK - A recent thread about CB Radio handles was put out there which got me thinking...

Did we expect this to last? Seemed like a sham from the very start.
$20k? Wow. I bought my 2015 RT188 years ago for $15k. Are you guys saying I could sell it for $20k+ now?
Best.... Response... Ever....
Had them in my old boat (Tracker PT175). I liked them, except they did tend to bow in the middle so it wasn't that supportive. If you are going that route - pay the extra and get the bunks that are...
I think adding the longer shackle links might not make any difference in your case. I typically load shallow as well, because it helps me center the boat on the bunks correctly. I have no problem...
I went from 2.25" shackle links to 3.5". These measurements are hole to hole.

UPDATE:
I really didn't know how this would work but I ordered a new set of springs (2k capacity each) and I ordered longer shackle links. Simple install and I love the outcome. More clearance...
Good info! Thank you!
Thank you sir! I think a longer shackle would need to be welded on, correct?
Yup - you are correct, 2014. I might try and find beefier springs that will fit.
I'll check that out, but I didn't see any bolts near the tire itself. I'm thinking of just replacing the springs and seeing if that helps
