I ended up picking the motor up. It was just too nice to pass up. The gentleman that sold it to me was a great guy too. Threw in a TON of extras, hubs guages, harnesses, all kinds of stuff.

the last few weeks ive been able to get a big chunk of this project finished.
bought an engine-99' suzuki DT150
got a trolling motor
cleaned bilge and replaced all pumps/hoses...
After calling and speaking with jim at charger. He told me to get 2 big clamps and squeeze down on the nose with them and that actually did the trick.
So whilst in the process of rebuilding my 88' 195v, I'm wondering if I should use a Jack plate? I'll be going with a 150 horse engine. Not too sure which one yet.... I know it wont reach it full...

welp....here's my first "what the hell am i doing?!" moment
so this past weekend we were sanding and polishing the gelcoat with good results. as i was looking at the bow i noticed the hull looked...
Floor was redone before as far as I can tell, not the cleanest job ever but its solid. And I poked at the wood in the transom through the motor mount holes, didn't get any rotted wood coming out....
