I throw LC Pointer 78, MB 110 Jr, 110+1 Jr, Jackall DD Squirrel, and X-Rap 04 on casting rods. I use 8lb flouro, a med light casting rod, and a small casting reel.

I throw 3/8 and 1/2 oz plus trailer and like a med heavy mod fast rod. The two I use are Megabass Valkrie 7'1" MH and a Megabass P5 Madbull.

I catch them right after ice out with a chatterbait.

I use Daiwa Steez CT SV's. They are great in the wind for me. If it's blowing over 20 mph, I will usually tie on a 130 size jerkbait as they cast a lot better into the wind due to the heavier...

If I'm fishing for one big fish, I would use a jig. If I'm trying to catch a few, than the dropshot. The best choice is a jerkbait, which is not on the list.

The MB 110's are great but if you are only throwing 1 brand, you are missing out. I can't tell you how many times I was losing them on the 110 and switched to an X Rap or Jackall Rerange and killed...

I fish very light drop shot presentations in 10 feet or less of water most of the time. The best I have found is a Phenix K2 713ML. A close second is NRX 822 DSR.
