There are cap screws and then rail screws. Depending on what type of rail your messing with would dictate the issue.
I took all mine out and used 3m5200 on them so they stay in a few years ago.

You would not need to charge a STARTING only battery, the alternator will do that.
You can use a winch solenoid for $20. Obviously youll have to change some wire ends to connect to it. I did mine about 5 years ago, zip tied a spare to it just in case havent ever needed it.
