Way too much prop! 17p is what you need. I have a rt178 with a 75 merc 4. I run a 17p 4 blade. My steering torq has been horrible, installed hydro steering to help battle it.
AAs ;). Probably the same as what you had. Ill double check when i get home.
2016 rt178, 3 batteries, all in battery trays.
Sun screen and bug spray, never had a water issue. Stay dry during hurricane Irma with cover removed.
How are you reading your RPM? My analog tach is about 600 off.
My Hondas paint peeled like a banana
Agree 100%
I was thinking of raising my motor one more hole (no JP). Currently in the third and I can trim to the squirrely feeling.
The merc 2.1 75 4 stoke can go up to 125hp
Pump has its own float switch and 12v source.
Not that bad of a job. Helm hole is large enough, just need to drill the mounting holes. Centering is a must due to the helm hole being oversized.
Im guessing the motor needs to be raised for the x7
Im the opposite. I gained a few MPH over my powertech prop. My fastest max speed Ive seen is 41.6. Awesome handling and holeshot. Now that it has warmed up, ive lost some rpm. Tons of stern lift. My...
Ive done the same with my rt178/75hp. Much improved!
Now thats its warmed up, I can only hit 5k rpm with excessive trim (no gain in MPH). Thinking I may need to drop to a 15p x13.5 from my current 17p x13 (x7). Yesterday was lower 90f two people and a...
My 16 is the same, long rear step but no gussets
Love mine, good luck...
Yes sir!
Wouldn't work in my waters.
Why a 52", if you use the same holes/direction you're going to have a lot of trolling motor hanging over the side
I tried this, to white
I gained MPH going to my current X7 with the same pitch in a 3 blade SS
Same Baystar kit. I have read mixed opinions on the jack plate. You can contact teleflex and verify the hydro kit needed.
Awesome, much improved control. No more jerk to the right trimming at wot. Sticking wheel is also gone. 21 largemouth this am, largest was 4.59 with some 3s thrown in
