I think you hit the nail on the head. I've been using the smartgauge for the trim now. 2.8 is my sweet spot, jackplate on 12.

I spoke with my Dealer on Sat in Fl. They told me Mercury will never have a fix for the trim gauge below the speedometer. I now have to use the smart-craft gauge. SMDH.
