I agree. The old curved necked motors were reliable but the torque would stretch out the cable over time.

Have an old Great White GWB67V I still use today. Old tiller handle for an older bass boat. 24 volt. Been very reliable. Pulls the boat like it is a toy. Can't attest to the newer models.
