I assume you don't leave it on all the time, just during the worst times? It'll be a waste of power to run it all the time, but I was thinking i just run it right after a rainy tournament.
Almost everywhere. I can see spots on the ceilings and walls. But the worst spot is on the ceiling, where it's concentrated and dark color.
I noticed that after rainy days of fishing, I start getting mold in the garage due to the wet boat/carpet. I tried buying a fan and that helped a little but not much. Short of installing an extractor...
HAHA not bad. Suzuki would be getting 57 at best. I think once I get right prop or figure this out I should be getting close to 70.
Thanks for the suggestions. It's definitely not just chine walking. the bow is bouncing or loping which is a term I've heard for it. I do carry a lot of shit in my boat, but I didn't think it was...
19 foot Falcon 195. Mercury 200 4 stroke. Fury 23.
The fastest I can get is 65mph at 5500-5600 rpms. I know I should be turning more rpms and the boat is capable of faster. I have a hydraulic...
Agree with Johnny. Kerr was packed today. Bite was tough too.
So just wanted to post an update on this. It turns out it actually wasn't the alternator.
Bass Pro Tracker Service received the new alternator and put it on, but the problem persisted. They...
At this point I'd take it to a different dealer. Your current one doesn't inspire confidence.

Dealer confirmed alternator needs to be replaced. Part is available for order and covered under warranty.
I appreciate the sentiment :beers:
I took it to my local Mercury Dealer. They confirmed the alternator needs replacing. When they said "alternator" I assume they meant the harness with the...
Doing the full stop stall method still didn't fix it. Taking it to a dealer tmrw. Between this and my alternator issue I'm mildly annoyed, but otherwise the motor performs great. Hopefully these are...
Seems like the SHO is just a tad faster than the Pro XS 4 strokes on the 195? You're getting mid 70s whereas I see people with the Pro XS get low 70s. Still screaming fast for a 19 footer.
Yep 4 blade.
Sorry, I meant I fixed my serial number typo. I'm dropping the boat off tmrw. We'll see what the tech says. I need to get the alternator looked at as well as the trim/tilt system. The trim/tilt falls...
Thanks you're right, it should be fixed now.

I noticed that the motor isn't charging my battery. I thought I should be seeing above 13 volts while idle and above 14 while on throttle but my battery just stays...
Figured out the issue. What I thought was the wire leading to the negative of the battery (connected to the negative of the sender) was actually connected to the old Suzuki fluid sensor which wasn't...
I don't know the answer but I will say if you get the stick transom saver, make sure it properly grips the lower unit. My existing one that worked on my Suzuki was a tad wide for the thinner Mercury...
thanks i'll give it a shot tmrw. The boat ran okay today, I just kept an eye on the trim.
When you say hold at stop, do you mean hold down the trim button at stop? Or just leave it at stop?
Thanks everyone for the responses!
the only other thing I can think of is if there's a manual release screw that's not tightened enough, or has bad seals.
Hey VA Bass thanks for replying. I noticed it when I raised my motor fishing around cover. I looked back and it was back down resting on the double trim pistons. My question is if it's still okay to...
