I will be installing mine on a 2001 Ranger 518VX it should work fine and like Rodney said lock nuts with big washers on the under side.

I was at the Ranger plant last weekend and asked the guys that rig the boats were they put the LSS-2 ducer and they said they mount it on the step. That is were I'm going to mount mine.
The 2in. new Angled Bow they just came out Sir.

Guys I have 2001 518VX I ordered skins from Ranger last summer for around $400.00 had a upholstery shop in lincoln Missouri install them cost me $250.00 total $650.00 not bad turned out like...
