Hey Don,
I'm doing this conversion right now on my 1985 Mercury 175. Finding it difficult to mount the relays and all the wiring into the original solenoid locations. Any reason I couldn't zip...
Had the same issue not long ago, but on a carb 175. Rebuilt the fuel pump and changed the primer to a genuine Mercury bulb.
Thanks JB.
Only reason it's "cheap" is because it's coming from someone in our club. Just wanted to see if I could get some more real world input on it, besides reviews online. ...
Is a Pro Hi Jacker 6" jack plate decent? Found a good condition used one, fairly cheap. I see it's rated for up to 175 HP, which is what I have on my boat. I sure do hate to max out stuff, though....
TH Marine and Johnny Morris are about to own the world. ha
Thanks Euro. I did add an external 90 GPH sierra kit with straight barbs a couple months back when I updated everything. I guess I should've read that line 13 better as it states "Additional". If I...
Great information. I have an 1985 175 Black Max. I installed a separator. But according to line 13, it is not necessary. Does this take into account older outboards as well? I don't have any...
I'm having the same issue, sort of. I installed a separator on my 1985 175 Black Max recently. Installed all new lines and Merc bulb at the same time. When I'm running wide open, the motor bogs...
I'd already be hooking up the trailer while he was still on the phone. :-)
I just went through this with my '85. I didn't think it could be saved. Wet sanded with 1000, 1500, 2000. I was a bit apprehensive to use rubbing compound so I went with Polish compound with a wool...
I have some pictures, in my Albums, of the deck and extension I did for my '85 F/S.
Thanks man. About to order some.
I don't, but I could batch them out easily.
That's what I need for mine. Does it already have an adhesive backing?
The No FB system is pretty cool. Made my '85 steer great
I gave up trying to find one for mine. I plan on getting a piece of carbon fiber to cover the opening and cutting the holes I need.
Sent you a private message sonny.
Texas Fishing Forum. He was posting in the classified section. I don't know his name on there but you can use the search feature for Bow Panel. I'll see if I can find his info for you in my emails....
Sonny, there's a guy on the TFF that makes bow panels. I sent him a picture of mine (just like yours) and he said "no problem". Can make them out of fiberglass or carbon fiber.

Yep. That's how I do it. Runs off the mosquitoes too.
Appreciate it Pops!! My electrical world is complete now. ha
Pops, do you have anymore pages scanned of that manual? I have an 1985 and would love to see more.
Looks great man! I'm after those exact seats, but with blue in the middle. Llebroc is about 20 minutes from me.
