looks really nice!
Yes, still using the mount today.
I did some change later: I took off the bottom swivel and the lie-flat part, as it’s floppy. Now I only use the two aluminum pipes, installed in a pole-mount...
This issue (actually a safety concern) had been raised since its launch! Unbelievable it has taken so long to fix!
HB Helix: 1500 nit brightness glass-bonded display
Garmin screens are probably 500 nit.
I hate to put more negative comments on this: ANY MAPS (including the new releases) that are saved on an external card will drag the units down!
If you don’t believe me, try making a screenshot...
With a visor, any tablets or phones work great!
Thanks all!
I’ll take this unit as a bad luck, and will get a newer HB unit soon.
Hope it won’t fail me again!
Thanks Wayne! I didn’t know their factory was in Alabama. It makes sense to have a repair facility there along with the factory.
Oh, sorry to hear that!
Seems only HB offers such a repair service on site, now I see it as a CON. It gives me a feeling like they know their products need lots of repairs, so they open a...
Nope, I only used 12V battery for helix.
Normally it reads 12.2 to 12.5v. My others brands of units share the same battery and circuit, except LiveScope.
How many of you have had to send your Humminbird units back to factory for repair? My only Helix 10 has had main board repaired twice!
I highly suspect their product quality now!
Anyone else...
This is really ANNOYING!
We need to archive some bundle software as well, which includes simulation files. Not sure why Garmin doesn’t just pack it together with others.

This is really a good effort! Thanks!
Again, 2.55 will be the last good stable release for GLS32+GLS10! Don’t waste your time testing for Garmin (instead, let their paid testers do their job), go fishing!
Is this on their list, Todd?

Freezes about 4 seconds with a Class 10 MicroSDHC card. Definitely Garmin can make it better!
I even don’t see such a “bottomless” on the LAN port of all my PCs; but the Garmin chart plotters are supposed to be water-proof.
I’m speechless now!!!
if anyone has an older unit (Echomap 93sv Plus and so on), could you help check and see if you can see the circuit board via the LAN port?
Any recommendations?
No matter how slow or fast the card is, I think the headunits should cache the picture and then transfer it to the card based on available resources. Instead letting a card freeze the whole unit!

I did it! Works great!
Now I even don’t bother to try 2.57 (or any future updates on GLS10) any more, as we have already known what’s going on!
Just noticed that Echomap Ultra 106sv (18.20) Almost Freezes when a screenshot is taken by long-pressing the Home button. Anyone else has the same issue?
Sorry, I meant the GLS10 box. I updated my post.
Thanks Leonard! I’m not a sonar expert either, just speculating.
BTW, Frequency does change impedance and the watts, as you know.
For the gain thing, you should be right. I meant something...
