Hmm more set back is interesting.. I believe it has a 10 pr a 12" on it now.. I will have to order some spacers and see if makes a difference. Found a 24p fury 4 blade andthat's the best prop I've...
Yeah that's an option I should probably look into also
Tempest was going to be my last prop to try but probably won't make much difference unfortunately.
Yeah that's kind of my worst fear.. The wood was removed and replaced with composite like i said, and found out it was worked on twice and some of the stringers were redone the 2nd time and that's...
Yeah if I'm trusting the previous owner, something must be up with the motor or throttle. The tach seems to be accurate from what I've seen. I get similar rpms messing with the plate/trim levels....
I have a '01 2100 pro sport that I bought as a hull/trailer, put an 05 225 Evinrude on it. Boat had a 225 Merc on it before, previous owner said it ran 70+ when he had it running. But he had the...
I have a 06 225 ho that blew a piston for cheap
Do you know what rpms you're getting up top with the 25p? I think I need to try something like that. I agree though it is a tank in rough water. Found that out in a derby this weekend in 3-4fters all...
That's the one thing I haven't done yet is check prop-pad measurements yet.. Going to get that done asap
Hey guys, picked up my first bee a couple months ago, need some help with getting it set up. It's a 01 2100, 10" hydraulic plate, and I swapped a 05 225 Evinrude on it. So I can't get the boat to run...
Sounds like a set up issue with the blow out. I wouldn't worry about exhaust temps like mentioned above. I run a regular raker on my etec and haven't had issues. Of you want to sell yours let me know...
My 99 with a 10" plate, 225 etec, 4 batteries and a talon sits low in the rear but doesn't get to the cowl. I'd check the transom area see if anything looks fishy. Maybe measure the prop-pad see if...
I believe all G2s have to run the specific TBX hub for proper exhaust ventilation.
SteveO let's go buddy
12Lbs pressure isn't good, I'd try more prop to start. Run more rpms at lower trim and watch the pressure. 3.5" is a decent height to start at.
I have 2 9" garmins at the console 99 201
8' talon is 40ish pounds? I have a buddy with 2 10s on his 20ss with a 225 pro xs with no issues. I'd check the hull for stress before if you're worried.
Can't wait!
Tempest or a Fury would be my .02
No complaints here, 99 201, rated for a 245hp, if I repowered from my 225 etec I'd go for a 250. 70mph tourney load surprises the skeeters and rangers lol
^^ I'm tired of lake WI lol. I'll be braving the Madison crowd in the not so pounded areas.
Check plug connections and brake fluid levels.
Just wondering the life span on etec spark plug wires? Going through maintenance on the motor for the year, wondering if they're worth the $ to replace? I believe they are original. Connections in...
What rpms are you turning now? I would think it'll run fine.
