I have echomap chirp 95SV + PS21-TR, bought them new back to Apr this year, but have the issue you guys have. large objects like bouey/chain/bottom are visiable, however fish and Lures...
manual setting do able to reduce to "noise" but I cannot see my large flipping lure like 15ft away from my boat...
do you have echomap or echomap chirp?

very interesting... after compare the specs from SHIMANO US & SHIMANO JP, I found the aldebaran 30MGL has more line capacity than the 50MGL (for 8# & 10# Mono)... something is not right :thumbsdown1:

I just tried the PS21 on shallow water, about 5ft, I found the distance (range) is very limited, probably around 20~30ft max, even I set the range to 80ft.
it has much better result on 10ft of...
