yes i have the gen 2 gearcase. And will also run a surfacing prop

so your leaning towards the 8m0183487 hub kit. I guess the gamble of hard shifts is an application specific issue

Of the 225’s what “years” are they. I say “years” because before Don jumps in, mercury doesnt identify by year rather serial. :wink:
