Would I be better with a flat edge on the ground, measure to the pad. Move tape over and ckeck my measurement that way?
I've measured it multiple times and every time I've come up with 4 1/4-4 1/2. Before I drop it I'll verify with some help. It's kinda hard to hold my straight edge and measure at the same time. I'm...
I'm going to tinker with the setup this week. Got wedges on the way. I'm thinking it might have to be dropped 1 hole also.
Tonight when it was all out it would loose speed as soon as I touched the...
I was starting to think that but in a light chop today I ran 68mph@58-5900. I was having a hard time watching the rpm as I was watching for floating wood. There is no longer a rooster tail behind it...
Ahh, duh, brain fart haha. I guess I should open my eyes eh :).
Thanks!
Also isn't there an update to the washers? No longer the blue fiber ones, now they are a yellow plastic material.

Where do I lift this thing from? I've been reading about a yellow plug in the end of the flywheel but all I see is a nut on the crank holding the flywheel on?

Motor is shown as trimmed WOT. Im trying to find another prop locally but its hard up here. Not a ton of boats that run a 25p prop. I tried the furry and no go. Tempest is better.
What gets me is...
It's an analogue gauge which has been verified with laptop and gps was checked in the past. Was within .5mph of the other. Haven't checked it since tho. Was actually using my gps to check the other...
I did a lot of reading on here and lots of people say they are a nono? That's why I was thinking wedges.
Mine makes it almost to the end of the trim cyl's. I don't think it's that it limits trim. I'm thinking it's because the boat has such a negative trim angle. It should just be the lack of the tilt...
I'm going to try my fury but before the battery swap it has worse bow lift than the tempest. That's why I picked up the tempest.
The tempest might have 20 hours on it. The difference was literally 1 weekend to the next.
I had played with the ptp quite a bit before the battery swap and kinda said I'll just live with it until...
4 1/2, but I've tried running it everywhere up to the point where I was down to just below 15psi waster pressure. At that point water spray is coming from in front of me.
It's already all the way down. I can go 1 hole lower on the motor but I don't know if the steering system will clear. I'll probably attempt that while adding wedges.
I'll give it a try next time I'm out. I always found the tempest carried the bow way better tho.
My plan is to get it running decent for now as I am replacing the minnkota fortrex with an xi5...
Hmm, I like that idea better than wedges.
I have a fury as a spare, the tempest always had better lift. Next time out on the water I might swap and see, I'm thinking it will be even worse.
Somebody mentioned 2 inch spacer might help also....
Anybody try em? I installed lithium batteries and lost 5mph. Seem to have lost bow lift. Nothing else is different just the weigh reduction from the back of the boat. Feels like it wants more trim....
Yeah that's about where I'm at right now. I'm about 4 inches below pad. Any higher and I have basically no bow lift and can't get any better than 55mph or so. I'm going to call around and see what I...
This picture is where I end up full trim. I trimmed up part way and took off, came out of the water no issue and right up on plain.

Batteries are the only change and batteries are right at the back. This boat has always seemed like it needs more bow lift. I've never been able to bring the jackplate up to the point of getting...
I just switched to all lithium batteries, this weekend fishing a tournament I could only get 60mph@5800 rpm. I was running 65-69 same load before the battery swap.

Yeah. Could have been partly from shipping tho. To ship to Canada they need to be discharged and I'm pretty sure they sat in a shipping truck outside for a weekend at - 30. I'm sure that isn't good...
Great company! I had an issue with a battery, they resolved the issue VERY fast. I would not hesitate to send family and friends to them. Amazing service
I haven't had a chance to get out...
