Because I went with the shell model having an AC installed wasn’t an option, love your roof mounted unit. Have you encountered any steep ramps where you had to off load the camper to launch your boat?

That is why I went with the Raven shell model, to lessen the weight.

I have a Four Wheel pop up truck camper (shell model), weighs in at 700lbs. mounted on a 1/2 ton 5.3L Silverado. Even though I have not had any problems, I am mindful of stopping distance .

I have a 08 H51 that I restored, although I cannot help with the painting . I did replace the carpet so while you have it striped down you may want to consider a deck extension....
