Thanks!
Does anyone know where I can get a specific color bench seat for my boat, I can’t find matching white and maroon seats anywhere
Thanks
I tried everything to get them to drain but no luck, does anyone have a manual or diagram for my live well setup?
Happy to say I got it running with no leaks today. Used OMC gasket compound on both sides of the gaskets and on the bolt threads and NO LEAKS! I'm back to fishing!
I have a 97' cobra 201D travis edition..very very comfortable on the water, fishing and driving..as far as the transom I can lift up on the lower unit and the boat lifts with it, no flex or slack...
Did you find out what the problem was? I have almost the exact same problem after changing the head gaskets and water pump. Wondering if I crossed the temp wires coming from the power pack? Where is...

Yes it was leaking prior to water pump installation but not nearly as much, I used johnson evinrude omc 345257 cylinder head...
Also I didn't have any temp problems at all ever before I changed the head gaskets
Changed out head gaskets last week and when I started it.. shortly after the temp light came on. I used the 15-17ft lbs torque suggested on this board.(My manual says 22ft lbs) Thought maybe I got...
Haha..I'm sorry fella's. I didn't have the lower unit fully tightened up flush so the hole in the linkage wasn't quite lining up with the pin end of the bolt . Went right in with the lower unit...
Installed new impeller kit and everything went back together fine except the last little bolt, the one that screws into the linkage and connects the shift linkage from the lower unit. Came out fine...
Just getting around to getting the heads back on in the morning..how long should the heat cycle be?
1992-2001 Johnson/Evinrude 65-300 HP service manual......says...on 600 motors, apply a thin bead of rtv adhesive around each water passage on the cylinder block. On 90 degree motors, apply a light...
Yeah I'm thinking they slapped it together once and were done with it.
Also wondering which is considered the better option, with or without sealer?
I cleaned the heads and they look new other than being a little dirty..I've checked for warping and they don't need to be resurfaced. My main concern was about the sealer and whether or not leaking...
Model is j200stledm
I'm replacing the head gaskets on my motor and my service manual says to use sealer on "600 " motors and nothing on all others. What is the 600 designation? When I look online at head gaskets there...
I pulled the heads today and they just fell loose when I got the bolts loose enough. Not sure if thats supposed to happen or not. It's very obvious the gaskets have been leaking and the piston in the...
Just wired in an all new harness and the lights are working great!
That's one of my next moves
Yes it has been this way since I bought it about a year and a half ago and I've been working on it here and there and trying to figure things out. The Raker prop is a 22..sorry. I'll check the...
