I just recently repowered from a 200hp v6 2 stroke opti pro xs and installed a 200hp v8 4 stroke pro xs

looking to hear your response...

sorry just saw the post: I am not sure about the hot foot cable, my mech took care of that for me, I am sure there must be a standard length based on each boat application...

try a 25p or 26p and you will see more top end.....................

get a hydraulic jackplate............ don't fill the gas tank up, don't keep too much crap in the boat.

and my last tip to...

the pro xs will be better for resale, plus the added perf you get from a pro xs for very little cost is well worth the extra expense. ie: holeshot, top end speed and fuel economy.
