It'd be a lot clearer choice if there was a LH3/network HV option.
So release a networkable version that talks to axioms for a win-win-win.
Yup.
They could really benefit from a high frequency sidescan option for the axiom...
All sonar shows you the map of the reflections of sound waves off of the fish. The stronger the difference in density, hardness, etc., the stronger the reflection. The interface between air/water...
800 x 480 unless you step up to pro (or go to the 12)
If settings are offered, people will want to know how to adjust them - whether that means set and forget, set every trip, or monkey with it every 10 seconds. Note that the last recommendation in...
The interesting thing to me, is that this discussion on auto-sensitivity was kicked off from a post where a guy referenced using auto sensitivity on his bird and showed an example of its effect...
Separately - I may have an rmk-9 available to me. Does this work ok with axiom? What would I miss vs rmk-10?
It could be auto-sensitivity. And note that the Dr sonar like shows similar examples from bird and lowrance (just without the same fish concentration). I think we're all jumping to way too many...
This was Cabela's Owatonna. Woodbury was more up to date (closest to home for me...but I'm away too much). I'll check tonight and probably buy.
Cabela's in Springfield or was way behind (release...
To me it looks a lot like an auto adjustment as mentioned in the Dr sonar article.
Also - I had a chance to press a few more buttons on the axiom on Friday, and to my eye the (demo...
I can get a pretty good feel for the bottom type (eg sandbar) and see fish - but not as much (potentially superfluous) detail as other units seem to show.
Potentially acceptable, but not good...
I'm shopping for a fishfinder for a boat that I had just picked up - I'd more or less settled on the Axiom 9 with the lowrance carbon 9 as second choice...the day before lowrance put the carbons on...
It would be nice to be able to program the offset between GPS and transducer position. To prevent garbage require a minimum speed (maybe adjustable) to trust course aligns with heading, or a heading...
