Try a Falcon Lowrider in 7' medium heavy fast tip. This rod is excellent for buzz baits. Used one for years.
I have several that I've caught several hundred fish on . They are balsa wood you cannot smack them on the water to remove weeds and sticks or leaves.
Berkley 100% Fluorocarbon I use it from 6# to 25#. Never given me any problems.
