It is a good lake to fish, it has LM and was told SM in it. As for lodging, the nearest place I can think of is at Exit 27 on Interstate 77 (Blythewood, SC). A short drive to the lake, also stay...

The BPS that was supposed to be built in Augusta is a NO-GO now, they started the ground work and stuff, but quit. It was the economy from what I was told.
