Since FFS started taking off, I haven't been seeing or hearing about Hydrowave - did Livescope disprove it's efficacy?
I've got three different Walls jackets - two have different amounts of insulation (I'm good from 40 down to about -15), and the third (my favorite) isn't fit to go out in public anymore - too much...
I use a waterproof 3700 box and chuck magnets in loose with the small gear - you can pick up the entire ball and pick out the one you want.
Mid '87 they went to pulltruded transoms and stringers. The decks and box lids remained a wood/glass sandwich. Check the floors around the pedestals and floor drains for soft spots. The rivets that...
I take the update SD card out and keep it in a sealed box in the boat.
Note: I'm only using AC for updates.
93UHD (not UHD2) with GT56 is $950 from AMZ. UHD2 with GT56 is $1200 everywhere
I wear the Frabill F1 jacket in the warm months. They are holding up well (I keep one in the boat and one in the work truck - one purchased in 2019 for $25, and the other in 2020 for $30). They...
Michelin M&S2 truck tires have always sun-checked very quickly, in my experience.
I vacuumed it on Saturday, checked wheel bearings and tire pressures, started it in the yard - good to go!
I've had the Harbor Fright version for 20+ years, and though not as good as a carbon-pile tester, it's been quite helpful.
Question for you on offshore structure there...
If you leave the launch and go around the island, there's that grassy flat that I'm sure everyone knows. There is some hard stuff east of the flat,...
IDK the 520, but my rail insert issues have generally been the cap/hull screws working their way out.
I've had them blow off a multitude of graphs, either towing or running to my first spot of the day. I Keep a pair of 6"X.75" silicone rubber bands on each graph mount permanently - and a loose one in...
I use the Makita 1/2" hi-torque, as I was already in their LXT system. It's overkill for just lugnuts. If I was buying one for occasional driveway use, I'd cheap out and get one of the Amazon branded...
Unwrapped the boat Saturday, checked bearings and tire pressures and loaded her up. Made it to Gregg from 3-5:00 and didn't get any love on a spinnerbait, jig or jerkbait. Water temp was 40.:cold:
...
I use the VMC snaps that look like the ebay ones pictured above.
I used a card for the first time for the last update - so much faster than AC (for 3 units)!
As long as they break the panel joints over the rafters/trusses, it's a good strategy (and an oft-used one for plank-sheathed roofs). You're only adding around 1#/SF, so that's immaterial.
The one in NH is mostly a clothing store, and I get "out of stock at local store" for fishing gear, on the rare occasions I can drill down through their website.
So the world's cheapest swag?
Not an unusual occurrence here in the salt belt. Hitch up to a stump with a tow strap, with the vehicle pointing downhill. Apply pressure while you hammer the snot out of the receiver.
Get you a mink to help them out

Haven't been paying attention.. have the Pats found a QB yet?
