Thanks, Ricky.
If I recall correctly, doesn't (didn't) some outfit build a trailer with gear/tool boxes from the wheels forward that were countered to the boat hull?
Thanks, Mikeky. The SX190 has that same shelf and I have my 'bird mounted there on a RAM mount.
I have thought about doubling up the dash cowl with some heavy plastic or wood and extending an arm...
Greetings - anyone figure a way to dash mount their electronics on, say, a 2004 SX190?
The 2004 VMAX 150 doesn't support NMEA so I can't do that and dump the analog gauges.
Is there an analog...
It was a bad day fishing. everything just piled on to piss me off.
Loaded the boat, told the wife to pull up and heard an awful grind as she did. Forgot to tilt the motor up and the ramp ate a bit...
Thanks, CatFan.
I used to know how to do that math now that I think about it. But that was almost 40 years ago for A&P school that I didn't finish...
Paramedic student back in the day told me he liked "vintage rock."
"Yeah, when we get back to the station you're riding with the other crew..."
Greetings from Granbury, TX.
My 2003 DualPro has finally given up the ghost (after outlasting all y'alls MKs I might add ).
So I'm looking at the NOCO Genius GenPro10x3 (which, today is...
Drill small (1/16 or 3/32) holes in the end of the cracks to stop the cracking before you epoxy it.
Getting back onto this after a year away - Any particular reason to have a GPS puck if the unit has an internal GPS sensor?

Clean
It's the MinnKota factory cable that triggers the stop, not the transducer cable/hose
Yes. Same process you'd do with the motor deployed.
Mine is on a 45" shaft and although there's plenty of room/slack to do full rotations, I'd add another coil or two if I was inclined to do it over for any reason (like when I switch to a 'bird for...
Mine is mounted on an angle and the TM power wire routes itself above it. No problems with it.
This is what I did on the Terrova with a 45" shaft. Works fine, but I'd use 5, maybe 6 coils of air hose instead of 4. A longer shaft needs more coils.

It's not as awkward as grabbing just the head of the motor, and you can turn the motor sideways also making it easy to grab.

For the NMEA, make sure your motor is compliant (my '04 VMAX isn't).
If I had the funds I'd go Helix 12s SI/DI at the console and DI at the bow, both networked with the Ultrex, but consider the...
At present up front I use a Lowrance Elite 7 HDI with the US2 and navionics. Works fine but I'll replace it with a Helix later, I have a Helix 10 on the bow connected to the Terrova.
