I think I will get back into painting this winter. Not for sale, just for my own use. I'll post some of the new stuff up if I do so.

I have a black bottom on my Trition and it is scuffed white from the trailer bunks. What is the best way to get these sciffs white again?
I defintely get it and sometimes, not all the time, envy they way your were raised. I grew up totally the opposite. I grew up on the west side of Cleveland, OH. I never learned to fix a car, I never...
Can't help you out on the practice, but I can tell you to stock up on the Pour Boy Gobbies. Drop shot them. Also, mellonpepper and/or green pumpkin w/ gold or copper fleck tubes. Drag 'em. Good Luck!
Send it back to St Croix with $50 and they will send you a new one no questions asked. It just has to be 2001 or newer rod. That means there will be a serial number on the rod by the handle.
I have been throwing the Boss and the Gambler Jason Quinn swim jigs. Any one do a custom job better than these?
Practice making dots on a paper before shooting your lure. Same with your lines. You will get the hang of it. Let your coat dry before hitting it again. I use a space heater to speed things up.
I use a piece of foam board and stick pins. Put the lure on the board and pin the scale mess over the lure so it holds it firmly. For the backs sometimes I just hold it with my hands.
Any word on the water level, color and bite at Mosquito for this weekend May 14th/15th? Is the water still high, stained and the bite tight flippin?
Threw the Pumpkin/Green Pumpkin with a Pumpkin Chigger Craw as a trailer. Seemed like there was a bass on evey tree and bush in the whole lake.
I was there last Sunday also practicing for an upcoming tourney. I also caught all mine flipping my new ACT Lures custom made jigs.
I have never seen a norman with anything other than paint. Something they started lately?
I still use 2 Pinnacle Matrix Metal II reels. They are some of the smoothest reels I own, and I have shimano curados and Pflueger Supremes.
Not that hard at all. Cut off the original cork with a razor. Extended the rod handle 3 inches with a peice of rod from a broken rod. brushed on the the epoxy and then pushed on the new cork handle....
I changed the handle on my G Loomis 7' cranking rod from 9" to 12". I like the longer handles for casting leverage. The overall length of the rod increased from 7" to 7"3" also.

Got them yesterday and they look great. Will put them to use this weekend or next. Thank you!
So I got the 12" cork handle this weekend and will be trying to extend the handle on my G Loomis 7' MH Cranking rod. The handle that is on there now is maybe 8". So I will need to extend the rod 3-4"...
Paul, those look awesome! Can't wait to get them and try them out. The jig bite will be on here very soon. Thank you!
The painting part i'm fine with, i'd just be too afraid to try to get the gears back in the reel afterwards. Mine would look good but never work the same way again.
Nice Job!
How do I take off a shorter rod handle on a 7' casting rod and replace it with a longer, maybe 12" handle?
I only use Devon 2-ton epoxy and let it cure for a min of 48 hours before using it.
Will definitely use Iquana, but what I am looking for is ideas for the graphic. Some cool but not dorky. I was thinking maybe a graphic of the back of a jet engine?
That is definitely a cool concept. Sounds like a lot of work though. I'll probably stick to painting them.
I have noticed that several custom baits show in this forum seem to be heat wrapped with some kind of preprinted design. I would like to know where I can get such preprinted designs for my own use. I...
