Does anyone know what diameter water pressure hose needs to run from the block to the gauge? If the gauge of the hose is smaller is that going to cause your water pressure to read lower?

CCUBoy........the difference in speed may be because of your LU........but some of it is the ETEC. Your 03 225 HO DFI is a little bit stronger than the 225 ETECs ...

Your right. Its not the angle. The jackplate is all the way up and motor is mounted as high as it will go on plate but the actual plate is mounted way low on the transom. Wonder whats up with that?
