OP meaning me? Duh! I wouldn't have been searching for a better way if an upside down nozzle worked. It didn't. I refuse to carry a board around too. It might work for some, but my solution works...

OP meaning me? Duh! I wouldn't have been searching for a better way if an upside down nozzle worked. It didn't. I refuse to carry a board around too. It might work for some, but my solution works...
As stated later in the thread, I had a typo. The "IO" should have been "ID", internal diameter. The pump nozzle fits nicely into it. I picked it up at my local Mills store. It's just a clear plastic...
Putting 1300 on the bed. I'll be well within my tow GVWR.
Who has experience with air assist load levelers?
What's the best system that won't break the bank.
I'm going to be about 300 lbs over my 1/2 ton and want to be able to pump up the shocks to...
Back from the past...
I'm sorry I didn't get back to this post and let you know my results of using the tubing into the tank. The 1" IO / 1-1/4" OD tubing pushed about 1' past the filler cap and...
The speed doesn't seem to change. I only notice a difference from 1-2 and 4-5. I know it is a small difference between speeds, but I've been able to hear the difference between shifts on other models.
Still hoping someone can help me out with this problem. Hopefully Jones is on vacation and will be able to lend some expertise. He's been fantastic with my problems and sending me parts in the past....
I posted it on the trolling board as well. No responses there yet but it is a holiday weekend. Hopefully someone will respond soon.
Okay, I know this isn't the trolling motor section but this thread seems to be the most frequented so I'm going to put my question here as well in hopes of getting a quick answer.
Here's what I...
Hi Guys,
Here's what I diagnosed today.
I'm getting 24V to the blue, yellow and red wires coming up from the plug to the motor - assuming black is neutral/ground.
With the continuous switch...
I wanted to add some to a slick spot where I step frequently and being the cheap guy I am...
I bought a piece of car floor matting and some water proof double sided carpet tape. I haven't gotten...
I finished up my last xd-50 filling one tank and put Amsoil HP in the other tank. I don't expect to notice any performance differences and won't be pulling the engine apart like Amsoil did in their...
Do you use the HP Marine synthetic that is supposed to be the equivalent of xd 100? Did you need to do anything different with the engine when you started using it? I just picked some of it up today....
What is xd-50 costing you guys these days? A gallon at my local shop is $40. That seems a little high.
Okay, I know this has been beat to heck but my reading and attempts as searching for answers has been interesting and enlightening, but has not yet answered my questions. I know it's probably in some...
I was wondering if it's important to have a cover over the outside air breather for the fuel tank. One of mine was broken off - a whole other story - and the screens face up. Do I need to worry about...
White lithium grease. There a reason they recommend it for car door locks, etc.
Hey Yall,
I just found a suction cup mount at our local Menards hardware store tonight that is a universal mount holder with gooseneck for use with smartphones and gps made by Duracell. I put my...
Remember, you shouldn't have a lot of solder around the joint if you did it right. The solder should get sucked into the joint, not build up around the edge. Also, a good indicator if it's hot enough...
Hello, where did you get your pole? I have a 289FS and it has a metal plate down on the floor and appears to have two places toward the back / stern in front of the motor for support. I thought about...
Here's what I'm going to try next. I bought a piece of 1-1/4" OD tubing, 1" IO, and am going to try and push it down through the hose to the tank - or at least close to the tank. The idea is I'm...
Hi guys,
I recently bought a Garmin GPS MAP 78s and am ashamed to say other than turning it on and seeing that it actually found where I was at the time, I really haven't had time until now to...
It's probably a marine silicone. I've used it and have never had a problem. If you have a good seal the silicone will be under the hardware and technically won't be exposed to water because of the...
Does anyone wonder with all the designing and engineering that goes into these boats why this is still a problem? I hate to think the answer is because it's always been that way. UGH!
Does anyone know if you can put a hose on the end of the fuel station nozzle? How does the automatic shut off work on those things? It seems they somehow sense the fuel backing up to the nozzle. But...
