For mine I need two individual hoses about 14 feet. I am starting to find some kits now. Does anybody know anything about this Vevor brand? They have good reviews
Thanks guys. That’s the cylinder I’ve found. They just make it a pain to get the right length hoses in a kit. They want to give you 20 foot hoses.
I was under the impression that these should not be...
I have dual cables on my 150 Vmax (2 stroke). I think I am going to add hydraulic steering soon. It’s a handful...
Either I am not understanding it or they make it really confusing as to which kit...
Thanks to the advice here, I am happy to report that after adjusting my way out of whack carb floats my motor that was only maxing out at 5000 or 5100 RPM, I actually hit 5700 today at one point with...
Drain it at both tilted all the way up for a little bit and trimmed all the way down. Do both before you let it sit in storage. If outdoors, leave it trimmed down so no rain fills the gearcase....
Thanks guys
***in the past, I mean
Well, since I’ve had it it has never reached 5500 RPM no matter what motor height, prop pitch...etc. Not that I want to run around maxed out all the time but it would be nice to know it’s running...
Thanks so much Don. I did finally get a perfect and exact response in the Yamaha forums. Guess I was just being impatient...oops.
911, I cant tell you how much I appreciate you getting that for me!!! Thanks man!!

Thanks guys
Vmax V150TLRY 2000 year model
I asked this over in the Yamaha forum but haven’t gotten any responses. I have my carbs apart and when I took the float chamber off the bottom my floats didn’t look to be sitting level. Any Mercury...
Wow! That’s awesome
????
My motor is overdue for a carb(s) cleaning. I am pulling off and cleaning my carbs and when I removed the bowls I noticed my floats look like they are sitting at a weird angle. They still float so...
yes. It’s an older Xpress an I believe I have at least some wet foam. We’ll find out
Thanks guys. All good advice. I will come up with what it is supposed to weigh then go to a scale and see what it actually weighs...then I’ll know if I have an issue
I need to get my boat on a scale to see if I’m having weight issues. I know I can do it at a truck stop or a semi-truck weigh station but I have never done that before. Is this the best way and how...
For guys running the Tempest prop on their Yamahas...
I’m running a 24 Tempest in my carbed 150 Vmax. It has the PVS system so I’m just wondering
which plugs most guys are using. It’s on an Xpress...
I bought this boat from the original owner who left it outside it’s whole life under tarps not a good cover.
These older ones had a lot of unsealed areas where water would drain into and get trapped...
Thank you guys. I wish there was an easier way to dry out wet foam but I keep hearing is the only way is to just dig it out
I own an Xpress X70 and I’m 99% sure I have the dreaded wet foam. I plan to take as much of the floor up as I can as an upcoming winter project. With the way EVERYTHING is welded in these boats, am I...
I’ve gone over those normal checks. Plus when I drop in pitch I do really start to loose top end speed. I can’t have that. It’s a carbed motor so when I open the throttle completely with the control...
