Got it worked loose tonight. Whoever thought that one up needs to go out and cut a switch. Goodness.
Info worked. Much appreciated.

Broke one on the ramp on the last day of a trip a few years ago. Replaced it with a Rod Saver yellow heavy duty strap. Little too much length, so that had to be worked around, but it's beefy. Used...
Appreciated. I wondered if there was some sort of retainer to release, that might just be it.
:thumb up2:
It's a great old hull. They can bury me in mine, or burn me on top, like the heathen kings of old.

Searched every variation of hardwired TMs I could think of, didn't see anything about this piece.
Need to get a factory hardwired 2005 Tour 109 off my 521VX. Any tips on getting...
Well...at least 16 are pre rap, sooo...$225 would have been ok. Not a steal, but ok.
Have always used Flex Coat, the high build formula. Light, repairs easily, and allows for nice effects.
Yep. If you can vent it well enough lacquer can be awesome stuff.
Higher psi is almost always better with Createx. You want to shoot color, not paint. Extender will lighten color values, but may actually cause more tip issues. If thinning and running higher psi's...
Just did the duct tape trick, overall a more pleasant experience. Keeps the hook and insert in place, does not affect the pour. Used one strip on each half of the mold. Added bonus is protection for...
Pouring them now for the first time. Not the most fun mold I own. Swinging hook concerns me, due to chance of rolling the point. Have used layers of duct tape, mostly on spinnerbait molds to hold the...
Do the current units still run, and can you read them as well as you like (meaning use and interpretation)? If so, I would be hard pressed to change them until that changed. People look down at my...
Have some wet boxes on my 521. In a heavy rain I actually think the carpet pulls water up an under the lids. If that is not the problem, I am at a loss, because I have checked everything else. Good...
Nicely done and explained. Kept the old piece because I thought there had to be a better way and was planning to tinker. Too much plastic as supplied. You saved me a bunch of time and some $ no...
Thank you. Do those hubs still service the same way? There are so many different hubs I lose track of which one is which type.
Definitely a weekend that earns everyone bonus man points. I had to leave for home on the 1st. Kind of sorry I missed it, but did manage to get snowed and sleeted on a bit with the first of the big...
You should be able to get by with 27's if 29's won't work out due to space. That TM is going to be on the light side in big wind anyway, and may limit the need you would have for the 29's.
Toxic,
Are you putting Tie Down axles back under it, or changing to UFP? Sounds like that is a possible switch, and am trying to find details on compatibility, process, etc. Thanks.
Just noticed the fire extinguisher also. Like that too. Mine takes up room in a box where I could cram at least 5 more pounds of grub heads. Has it always been mounted under the step?
That is nice Fuzzy. If I did not have kids riding there I would think about doing it to mine. That folding seat/step is sure better than stepping on your seats, but seems like it is constantly in the...
Which TM you have will also make a difference.
How is the footing on those decks? Might be an answer to carpet issues for some.
Thanks to all. Got it eventually via the application of additional force. Was about 70% sure I would end up cracking the trim piece. Opened the hole up a bit before buttoning everything back up, have...
A group 29 might even do that in that boat. Friend of mine owned a 340V and he actually put a 36volt on it, but with 27 size batteries. Room is at a premium in those smaller hulls.
Ok...is there a trick for getting the old switch out? Have all the various screws out ( 2 on switch, 6 on trim panel). Switch will come partially out, then feels like it is hung up.
