since you have been happy with your engine, why not get your next boat without an engine and put your 05 on the new boat. At least you know what you are going to have verses not knowing about the new...

might be best to just hook up to the boat and do a lay out of what you want with wood stakes, chalk, cones or something and just try backing up and see how it works out for you
