Got news from the ETEC mechanic and they are replacing the powerhead with a fully dressed 2011 unit! PLUS, they are upgrading the lower unit to a NEW one!

Got the new head, software update, and prop. Some improvement. Defintely comes out of the hole better with 26 Raker II but sluggish with full livewells 2 people and full tank of gas.

Definitely a holeshot issue for me with an 09 Etec 250 on the Tr 21X. Getting the new head and softwaqre update next week and am hoping the issue is resolved.
I was told it was a 24p with the holes bored out larger. I still haven't got mine in for an update, maybe mid Feb.
I contacted Evinrude this week and the tech told me my motor qualifies for the update. It will early Feb before I can get it serviced. I'll post results sometime in Feb.

I went ot Aberdeen on Dec 3 and the water was 46 degrees and had 0 bites. It looked great.
