I put my crappie rods under my bass rods on starboard side. Then just push them all the way towards front. Then use port for life jackets net clothes etc.

My first thoughts as well on the rigging. On the rod box personally I'd rather have a cooler and 2 rod boxes vs 3 full length boxes.
