Hi there is no middle compartment on a 640. Just the two lockers up each side of the boat.
The boat is an 18 hour drive from me so I can't just drive over and have a look.

The batteries are located under the front deck either side of the lean seat.

When I registered my 798 that i purchased here in Australia it kept coming up as a 570 on the humminbird product registration page.
