"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"
Replaced the wet-cell starter battery in my last boat with a Duracell from there. Good Battery, good price and availability on short notice which was nice.
Yeah that's a pretty sweet setup :thumb up2:
Ultrex :thumb up2:
I fish a lot of skinny water too but the spot lock is going to serve you well in so many more situations than the talons\power poles. Especially when the wind kicks up some...
Finally picking up my Z18 on Wednesday - just waiting for them to put all my Garmin electronics on. Ordered it in Dec with the 8" Slidemaster JP and a 23p Tempest prop, plus I requested they set me...
You could use the Basscat carpeted step box to replace your center seat too. Just stumbled onto that a few days ago when someone on another forum said it fit perfectly on his Z8 and should fit any Z...
I hear that! With my 2013 I had to remove the center seat myself and replace it with a carpeted door to cover the pumps. Looked pretty much like the ones they have now, except the new ones allow...
Sahweeeeeeeeeeeet! :bows:
Thanks for the update! Hopefully you scored big with the fish and won that tourney
Reason for my interest is I bought the same setup and right now it is in rigging and having the...
The 1996 Nitro 180 FS w/ the Merc 150 EFI was my first Nitro and I enjoyed the heck out of it. Decent size, decent storage, and it was a solid boat all round, I had no issues at all and I put some...
Let me add to the mix then, the NOCO Genius line of marine battery chargers which work with Wet Cells, AGMs, and have a built-in maintenance feature. Many polls in 2018 have the NOCO as the top...
Thanks and best of luck to you in the tourney too! :thumb up2:
@Rludeman44
Did you receive your Tempest prop from Nitro, and if so, what pitch was the Tempest sent (22 or 23) and how were your results? Curious too what JP setting you found to be best for...
Pre-drilled holes are only on the port side of the newer slidemaster jack plates I believe.
I too would not own a glass boat without one. Lots of reasons to have one, no real good reason not to.
No idea. I've had 2 custom fit carver covers for my last 2 boats and have never had a problem myself, and I trailer the boat covered in some pretty rough rain & wind.
Switched from Power Pro to the KastKing mega 8 braid in 50# test for some applications last year and it was great. I actually preferred it over the Power Pro on those, feeling it cast further and...
No thinking required, get an Ultrex. I too have come out from the dark into the light...
I have the Noco Genius 3 bank - terrific units
I hear some say they've replaced their with Ultimate Bunk Boards made out of high-density polyethelene plastic, and that they don't carpet over them.
Pretty as can be :thumb up2:

I didn't name it, but the folks at BPS call mine "the Dark Knight" due to the Black Mist, Navy & Onyx colors. Wasn't sure if I should take it as a compliment, or be offended that someone likened it...
Double Uni ... never had reason to try a different knot as it always seems to work.
