That might be a mechanical type kill switch. There’s a kind of c shaped plastic piece on the lanyard that slides over the switch and around the key. When it’s pulled off the key snaps back to the off...
Thanks for the reply. I thought I had it cleaned out pretty good but I will for sure revisit that tonight.
97 225 Venom J225STLEUD. The switch itself is fine. The issue is with the top collar that the cam piece rides on. It seems simple enough. Collar is two pieces, top piece has the little protruding...

This is a different year and size omc but does it look like this?
Generally right around 68-69 loaded.
Different but if it helps. I have a 98 201pe 97 Johnson 225 non h.o. 5.5” setback 4 blade 25p renegade 3-3.5 below the pad.
They are for setting up the tach for different outboards I believe. Different engines will send signal differently to the tach based on the number of poles on the alternator. That is my loose...
Pic quality sucks, just showing how I measured.

About 17 7/16" from centerline to centerline of bolts measured straight between, not accounting for the slight bend up towards the roller. The post is 18 degrees from vertical as best as I can...
I do not have the same boat but I used 45# on my 201PE.
I'm not 100% sure on an 06 but it should be behind the dash close to the timer switch. It probably will be a cylindrical shape.
I would lean towards the timer. Mine did all kinds of intermittent stuff on its way out. Definitely check connections and wire before you throw a timer at it though.
The bite was decent Friday but slow Saturday for us as well. Had a lot of follows but not many bites Saturday. Early morning was the best time by far both days. Might've picked up in the evening but...
There was some WOT in there but I was running mostly around 5000 rpm. I typically run more wide open than I did this weekend. There was a little bit of everything in there. One or two wide open runs,...
It could be smaller but I'm not sure. I wouldnt think so though. I did actually check mileage on Sunday. 1.8mpg.
I have what I'm assuming is a similar setup. 98 201 PE W/ 97 225 Johnson and a 52 gal tank. I've never checked actual mpg but I wouldn't bat an eye at 30 miles out and 30 back. She likes fuel for...
The previous owner did an extension on my '98. It's actually a compartment as well. I can get some pics later on if you'd like.
Like these?

Edit: it looks like board sponsor C&O marine has them, if those are what you're needing.
There might be a tag near the unit end of the cable that identifies what transducer it is. Worth checking. Lowrance might be able to help you if you had that info.
This is from memory but I don't believe you can fit three batteries on the port side without one of them sitting on top of the bilge access cover. My VRO is deleted, so there's no oil tank, which...
I did the the plexiglass thing to blank off where the finder was in my bow panel. Actually I might have used Lexan. i cut it to fit and painted the backside black. It worked pretty well. I have a...
Other than the standard used boat issues I'd be a little concerned about how long it has been sitting. Not to the point where it would be a deal breaker though. Just know that there's a chance of...
I have a 98 201PE. Starts rocking about 68. Took about a year to be able to prevent it from happening some of the time. Still working on being able to correct it once it starts. This video helped me...
First thing to do would be check manufacturer specs and make sure that's the correct size. Next thing I'd do is verify that all connections are good (not loose, corroded, etc). Could be an issue with...
