Just learning to fly fish last year.
It's not locked but it is closed from sunset to sunrise. I don't know if they patrol at night or if they'll ticket you for being there. Up home the parks like that are closed unless you're fishing.

I don't know, but I saw a post showing some of Rob's and figured he had them for sale.

Thanks for the replies guys. Someone told me one of the best stretches of river is between Astor and Lake George - might try there.
Rob, how much are your lures?

I live in Port Orange and the St. John's is the closest place with decent size water. I put in at Ed Stone Park and am looking for someone that knows the river in that area. WHERE ARE ALL THE...
I'm from the Eastern Shore (Maryland/Delaware) but now reside in Florida. Putting together an old Terry Pro 60 modified V, and gonna be fishin soon!

For a thousand dollars, grab it. The transom CAN be repaired. You have to cut the corners where it's welded unless it's riveted where you can drill out the rivets. The wood slides out and can be...
Wildfire,
Go to page 3 and you'll see one older and shorter - mine. 1986 Strada F-80 @15'3"
I do wish she were bigger, but I love her anyway.

Where are those pics, Mike?

BJ, Will do. I've got the installation manual, believe it or not, (plus the owner's manual and service assistance manual) and it calls for a 12 3/4" (SS)- 23" pitch prop for my boat (1000-1800 lbs/...
I leveled the boat, plumbed the engine shaft, and took measurements from ground to center of shaft (bullet in front) and from ground to bottom of the very back of the boat. The difference is 11".

I have an '86 Skeeter Strada F-80 with a Merc 75hp engine. When I bought the boat, it didn't have a tach but I've got one installed now, plus a trim gauge. On my GPS, I'm geting 37.5 with two people...
I've been hearing about Zoom Super Flukes and am wondering about the best way to rig 'em. Texas, Carolina, or on a jig? I'm fishing a tidal river Sunday, and wanted to give 'em a try.

This thread is full of good tips!
1. Keep paper in your boat.
2. Don't use leaves.
3. Be sure to ask your fishin partner what he ate the night before.
4. Don't go jogging and leave your coat on...
I don't know if this has been posted before but here's a small tip for running temporary wires in your boat.
If you need to keep the wires out of the way but don't want to drill holes for wire...

Shawn is right. Get any new pattern copyrighted. Then maybe you could carve, or have carved, a couple of examples. Take some photos and send them to a couple of the larger manufacturers. If you get...
Thanks guys. I wish I could get to it from the rear. On the dash I could, if I removed the steering. I'm gonna try taping the back and clamping a 1x4" back there.
I do have one tip. The smaller...
Thanks. They say necessity is the mother of invention. Poverty is the father of jury riggin'. This is what you get when they mate. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif

I've got a 14' jon boat I use on the ponds but I also use it for crabbing. There was no place for a switch panel for the lights, bilge pump, etc. So I took a small cooler and cut a piece of 3/4"...
I'm getting ready to install some gauges in my skeeter. Never drilled in fiberglass before. I know I should put some tape over the area but what's the best speed for holes ranging from 1-1/16 to...
Yup. Your rain will be our snow. We only get sizable amounts when it come up from the south. From the west, it has to be a really big storm before we get any. It's funny, but Baltimore can get a foot...
No, not yet. I'd like to find a photo of another F-80 of the same year and see where the eyes are on it. The transom sounds solid when tapped with a rubber mallet so not sure there is rot. It seems...
What I'm saying is there is no nut on the back. If you look where it is, you'll see it's above the trough or well (not sure what it's called) in the back. It doesn't go completely through the...
