Make sure to check the lower rubber mounts for corrosion and movement towards read. Sometimes they move enough to jam shift shaft.
Not an easy job to replace if faulty, but necessary.
Part number for the VST filter: 0354190.
Make sure the lower rubber mounts have not swelled up, moving motor back and interfering with shift shaft.
